The Engineering Intern assists the Engineering team with production projects and continuous improvement initiatives. The position provides hands-on Engineering experience in an electronics manufacturing environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Helps develop, improve and revise manufacturing processes
- Helps design and implement tooling and fixtures for effective manufacturing
- Helps analyze failures and troubleshoots to improve test yields
- Supports purchasing, quality, test, and production departments to ensure product integrity is maintained
- Supports cost justification studies and ROI for capital equipment
- Creating and updating work instructions
- Supports SOW development for equipment implementation and validation
Job Requirements
- Currently enrolled in college or university Engineering Program.
- Junior or Senior level, preferred. Mechanical, Industrial or Electrical Engineering discipline, preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD or SolidWorks, preferred.
