We are recruiting for a Human Resource Manager in the aerospace industry.  The Human Resources Manager leads and manages the Human Resources services and resources for ABT. The Human Resources Manager reports to the General Manager and advises Company Leaders about Human Resource issues.   

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Leads and provides direction to the HR team. Ensures that HR activities support the strategic vision of the Company.
  • Manages the recruitment process. Leads the HR team as they take a critical role in the screening and selection of qualified candidates and new hires.  
  • Oversees the Insurance Benefit Programs for ABT.
  • Oversees the Workers Compensation and FMLA Programs for ABT.
  • Facilitates the development, revision and implementation of human resource policies. Annually reviews and updates Team Member Handbook to reflect policy changes.
  • Oversees the annual Performance Review Process and schedule.   
  • Manages the annual merit budget. Reviews and recommends compensation decisions.    
  • Maintains and manages the ABT Wage and Grade Compensation structure to ensure both external and internal equity.
  • Oversees the discipline process for ABT.  
  • Writes and distributes Company communications. Is the voice of HR at ABT Company events.  
  • Is responsible to ensure HR policies and practices are compliant with applicable laws and guidelines.
  • Oversees the EEO and Affirmative Action Programs for ABT. Communicates EEO objectives to management.
  • Helps plan and facilitate Company events.
  • Coaches and mentors Managers/Supervisors regarding HR issues.
  • Recommends and provides development and career pathing opportunities for team members.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • BA in Business or similar. MA preferred
  • PHR or SPHR certification, preferred
  • 3 years of successful experience in an HR Leadership role
  • In-depth understanding of HR best practices and processes
  • Experience with Affirmative Action Plans and practices
  • Strong written and oral communication/presentation skills
  • Excellent organizational, project management and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to maintain confidential information
  • The ability to interact well and coach team members
  • Excellent computer skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to travel occasionally to other ABT sites
