We are recruiting for an exciting IT Manager in the aerospace industry.  The IT Manager determines the strategic direction for the company as it relates to technology, related infrastructure and required resources.  The IT Manager is responsible for the technical design, configuration and implementation of local and wide area network solutions.  The IT Manager maintains the integrity and functionality of company’s network systems to ensure availability and effectiveness for users. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

·         Trains, coaches, and supervises IT team members.

·         Provides direction and helps prioritize workload and projects for IT team members.

·         Ensures that the ERP system is maintained and able to support future growth.

·         Acts as a liaison for IT with other departments in the organization.

·         Develops, recommends and is accountable for annual goals and budgets for the IT network area. 

·         Installs, configures, tests, and maintains ABT’s and AGE’s networks.

·         Ensures that the hardware and software supporting the ERP system and related applications are secure, robust and positioned to support future growth.

·         Maintains performance of multiple hardware and software platform interfaces and maintains security of networks.

·         Monitors and assesses network utilization and performance; recommends system upgrades and new products. 

·         Anticipates potential network problems and implements preventive measures.

·         Troubleshoots and resolves network problems. 

·         Ensures that ABT and AGE are in compliance with all licensing requirements.

·         Ensures that ABT and AGE are in compliance with all federal contractor regulations as they related to IT

·         Supports all departments in planning, documenting and implementing security or disaster recovery actions.

·         Any other task assigned by supervisor.


·         Bachelor degree in Information Systems, strongly preferred

·         Thorough knowledge of the following:  VMware vSphere, HP Procurve, Microsoft Windows, Group Policy, and Microsoft Exchange

·         Minimum 5 years of information technology experience 

·         Successful leadership experience, strongly preferred

·         20% Travel

·         Working knowledge of ITAR and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements, preferred

·         Working knowledge of Linux, preferred

·         Strong written and verbal communication skills

·         Ability to maintain confidentiality

·         Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 20 pounds

·         Ability to regularly bend, stoop, crawl, and reach with both arms
