The Configurations Manager is responsible for providing engineering technical support to Production, Engineer, Quality, Pricing, Business Development and Purchasing. Emphasis is on supporting TDP/BOM releases for design prototypes and production releases, with continued support throughout duration of contract as needed.  The Configurations Manager carries responsibility for input on TDP’s/BOM’s for product as released by Programs and Design Engineering. 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

·        Supervises, trains, directs, and coordinates the activities of Configuration Administration and Configuration Engineering team members

·        Manages and maintains scheduling/priority of work load within the department

·        Reviews and evaluates all new solicitations and assigns work where applicable

·        Responsible for the maintenance of Technical Data Packages and BOM packages for all customers

·        Responsible for the maintenance of an organized filing system for all Technical Data Packages, ECN’s, NOR’s, ECP’s/ECO’s and cost evaluations.

·        Manages and assists in the creation of BOMs from customer supplied parts lists and Technical Data Packages for new solicitations and jobs

·        Responsible for the maintenance of BOM change notifications; initiation, monitoring and implementation

·        Responsible for fulfilling print requests and ECN requests for Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, Business Development and Pricing

·        Manages requests related to document distribution

·        Performs other tasks assigned by supervisor


Job Requirements

·        BS Degree in Engineering or related field, or minimum 5 years’ experience in Quality

·        2 years leadership experience, preferred

·        Experience in leading/managing significant projects

·        Experience in reviewing technical data packages including drawings and bill of materials

·        Experience utilizing Lean Six Sigma tools (FEMA, Fishbone, 5 Why, 8D, Value Stream Map, Process Flow, A3, etc.)

·        Excellent Problem Solving, Statistical and Analytical skills

·        Excellent computer skills including expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel

·        Excellent verbal and written communication skills
